The VTTi product range offers transmission of video signals over a telephone line or unshielded twisted pair. This ensures maximum ease of connectivity and expansion of almost any CCTV system within commercial and public building environments, by simply connecting each camera to a un-used twisted pair point with a VTTi passive video adaptor.

The space shuttle programme chose mission STS-85, which launched on August 7, 1997, to have the VTT IC201 on board to transmit video from cameras in the pay load bay and remote arm areas. NASA and Lockheed Martin plan to retrofit all Space Shuttles with IC201 chips, as well as all International Space Station sections which NASA plans on launching into space later this year.

VTTi adapters comply with FCC part 15 Subpart J Class B. These devices
do not generate, receive or transmit radio frequency energy.
VTTi adapters are for point to point video transmission are not designed
to work over the Public Switched Telephone Network.
