VIDEO: MOBILE VCR
A
new mobile VCR event recorder from AVE offers 8-hour
continuous video recording in a low-cost and compact
unit, powered from a 12V DC power source. It
can be linked to CCTV cameras in vehicles to offer high-quality
recorded monitoring and playback, for internal vehicle
security and external event filming, for example.
The
mobile VCR has a foot-print of just 264 mm by 260 mm,
and height of 94 mm. It
uses standard VHS cassette tapes for up to 480 minutes
playback time and has a fast forward and rewind speed
of eight minutes, with E-180 tapes in SP mode. The
unit is equipped with an RCA line and DC car cord as
well as infrared remote control.
The
unit has interactive on-screen programming, with time/
date and title generation. There are two on-screen user-defined messages, a tape recycle record,
alarm in/ alarm out function and other features.
